Rack Mounted 15Ghz Switch
This 1U rack mounted switch utilizes a 5-port
SHF switch sub-assembley. The unit has dual
alarmed redundant power supplies and
operates from 50-250VAC main supply.

The 5-port switch has "N" connectors and is
essentially a changeover contact arrangement
with two extra ports for terminations or loads.
The unselected port will thus be terminated
and the termination will be easily replacable if
damaged. LOCAL/REMOTE Controls on the
front panel will allow local control of the switch
or remote operation using RS485 Comms.

The RF Switch Specification
Frequency: DC - 15GHz
Insertion Loss: .4dB across the band
Isolation: -80dB

L-Band Transmit and Receive Unit



This unit has been developed by Microlab RF
Ltd for use in mobile satellite transmit/receive
systems. It consists of a junction box (the
lower half) and the RF section, (the upper half)
which plug together using self-centering blind-
mate co-axial and multi-pole connectors.

In the case of failure, the RF section can be
easily and quickly replaced simply by
removing four screws. Fitted gaskets
throughout protect the unit from ingress of
moisture.



 


L-Band Up Down converter

70 MHz / L-Band Up and Down converters





These units are utilized where conversion is
needed to bring 70MHz IF infrastructure
into an L-Band infrastructure using various
spot frequencies.

A 1U dual unit is featured which can be a dual
Down converters or, dual Up converters or
one of each. Even more compact solutions are
available.

L-Band 6-way Switch






This is a superior 50 ohm 6-way L-Band Switch
with a low insertion loss of only 0.4dB.
The frequency range of the DC blocked
version is 500MHz to 3GHz otherwise the
frequency range is DC to 3GHz which, by the
way, will handle 10Watts  CW RF power.
 

The unit shown is intended for quality
monitoring applications and subsequently the
common connector (N) is situated on the front
panel for easy input into a spectrum analyser.

Compact & Modular IF
Spitter/Combiner



For L-Band and IF infrastructure(s) where
space is at a premium, these units offer
the flexibility which you would expect from a
modular system.

It is very compact and can consist of Splitters,
Combiners and Gain Blocks and is available in
most connector options. The 1U shelf shown
below is a dual "hot-swap" power supply which
will support six shelves.

L, C and Ku-Band Splitters

A range of 50 ohm splitters with SMA
connectors. These are available as 8-way, 4-
way and 2-way in the frequency bands:

  8-way 4-Way 2-Way  
  L-Band.  0.65 - 2.2GHz  0.5 - 2.5 GHz 0.5 - 2.5GHz
C-Band.   2.7    - 8.2GHz 3.0 - 9.0 GHz 2.5 - 9.0GHz
Ku-Band   11.5  - 18GHz    11.5 - 18GHz 11.5 - 18GHz
The L-Band splitters feature an optional DC
injection port for LNB DC drive.

RF Power Amplifiers



Ready-to-go class "A" RF power amplifiers are supplied with or without dual power supplies. Inhibit and tell-back facilities are provided along with monitoring of power voltage and current.

Some amplifiers are convection cooled and
others are fan assisted. A lock-switch and key
is provided on all amplifiers. Comms control
facilities are an option. The amplifier featured
is a 10 watt unit in a 2U case.

Power Matrices


The 2U shelf featured contains a 2x6 power
matrix which willhandle 10 watts of CW RF
power.

The insertion loss is less than 2.5dB and the
operating frequency is DC to 3GHz. The
matrix, once set, will consume very little DC
power due to its latching characteristic. It has
dual alarmed power supplies with both front
panel control and remote "comms" facilities. As
usual a lock-switch and key is provided which
disables the front panel controls.

 
 
  100 Watt one-for-eight UHF transmitter redundancy switch with audio switching.
N connectors, 4U shelf, RS422 comms and Local/Manual control.
 
 
  4-Port 50 ohm SMA 10dB coupler. This coupler spans 500MHz - 4GHz. All four ports are left un-terminated for through path operation.
